CSA 7th Grade Mathematics
I am a natural educator who loves to learn and to share that learning with others. There is so much to learn about the world around us that it is impossible to know it all, but I am sure going to try. My philosophy is that your goals should always be greater than what you expect to actually achieve. DREAM BIG!
My youth was filled with so many great teachers. I wanted to be like them. When I finished my music studies at the University of Denver, I began teaching music part-time for beginning students. I continued this for two years, until I realized that I wanted to become a better teacher, so I began a career in a different field, until I could return to education to share my passion with others. I worked in a workshop restoring musical instruments. I played music in jazz clubs and theatres with orchestras, concert bands, big bands, small combos, and even recorded a Beatles album with a saxophone quartet. I performed with touring and local musicians. I continue to play and record music to this day.
After moving with my wife to Cleveland and Phoenix for graduate school, we relocated to Columbus in 2011, where we have settled for the foreseeable future. I received a Master of Education degree from Indiana University-Bloomington in 2016.
My son 5-year-old son Samuel Patrick is currently learning Spanish at Legado Spanish Immersion Academy at Clifty Creek Elementary. Nos gustamos hablando español conjuntos cada dia!
Lifelong learning is an important value to me, and I hope to share that love of learning with my students!
